Modica – The City of Chocolate and Baroque

Our experience begins in the sweet city of Modica, a true architectural masterpiece reborn from the ashes of the 1693 earthquake. This picturesque city unfolds in a fascinating play of levels between Modica “superiore” (upper) and Modica “inferiore” (lower), connected by suggestive staircases that meander through the historic heart. Walking through the narrow alleys, you will find yourself immersed in a timeless atmosphere, where the houses seem to emerge directly from the rock, a testament to the unbreakable bond between man and nature that extends from prehistory. The tour will continue with a not-to-be-missed tasting: Modica chocolate, produced following an ancient Aztec recipe, offering you a unique taste of the local culinary tradition.

Ragusa – Baroque Enchantment Between the New and the Old

Continuing our journey, we will reach the city of Ragusa, harmoniously divided between the modernity of the new part and the ancient charm of Ibla. The latter, rising from the ruins of a millennia-old past and beautifully restored after the 1693 earthquake, presents itself as a labyrinth of Baroque beauties, with squares, churches, and palaces that tell the story of a reborn civilization. The vibrant heart of Ragusa Ibla reveals itself in its narrow streets, leading us to discover true treasures, such as the Piazza del Duomo and the portal of San Giorgio, next to the lush Giardino Ibleo. Every corner of Ibla is a discovery, an invitation to lose oneself in breathtaking views and unique architectures.
