Our journey will begin by crossing into ancient villages, where history and tradition blend with the volcanic landscape. We will traverse the green heart of the Etna Park, where the path winds through lush woods and lava flows, in a breathtaking contrast between pristine nature and the power of the volcano. Here, the flora is expressed in all its diversity: from sweet orchards of apples and cherries to lush vineyards and hazelnut groves, up to the imposing woods of chestnut, oak, juniper, and the majestic birch and beech trees.

Starting from Rifugio Sapienza by cable car or from Piano Provenzana by 4×4 bus, depending on the crater conditions, as we ascend, we will notice how the vegetation thins out, leaving space for lunar landscapes of extraordinary beauty, where time seems to have stopped.

Having reached an altitude of 2,900m, we will continue on foot, in an environment where the majesty of the volcano reveals itself in all its power, leaving the everyday world behind, immersed in a majestic and pristine landscape.

The discovery will continue with a visit to a lava flow cave, where, equipped with helmets, disposable earphones, and torches, we will explore the mysterious tunnels created by the lava flow, silent witnesses of the primordial forces that have shaped these lands.

For explorers opting for the Full Day option, the experience will be enriched with a culinary moment with a lunch at a refuge featuring Sicilian specialties or a tasting of Etna DOC wines. We are able, upon request, to offer different types of elementary alternatives.
